When it comes to dirt lending, we are dirt lenders’ lawyers. We represent banks and nonbank lenders in both complex and routine commercial real estate financing transactions.

As a result of our ability to provide a full complement of services, transactions close faster and more cost effectively. In addition to the deep market expertise of our real estate finance attorneys, we handle lease analysis, zoning analysis, permitting issues, environmental indemnities and entity due diligence. We also perform in-house title searches and issue title insurance.

Proof positive.

  • Represented a lender in multiple commercial real estate financings to the same borrower in the aggregate amount of tens of millions of dollars for the acquisition of existing auto dealership real estate and buildings, followed by demolition and subsequent construction of three high-end auto dealership facilities, all on the “Automile” in Norwood, MA.
  • Represented a lender in $6.5MM leasehold mortgage financing to an investment group to refinance existing debt and provide additional funds for the build-out of undeveloped sites for well-known chain restaurants.
  • Represented a mezzanine lender that provided $1.5MM in subordinate financing for the construction of a hotel in the Boston Garden area.
  • Represented a lender in a $4.5MM acquisition of land and construction of a medical office building in Rhode Island.
  • Represented a lender in a $126MM first mortgage financing for nine health care facilities in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
