Dillon is a trial lawyer, litigating complex commercial disputes that require a sophisticated approach. He works closely with clients to come up with creative, tactical solutions to their problems, whether it be through litigation or alternative dispute resolution.

Prior to joining Davis Malm, Dillon was an associate at another Boston law firm. In law school, he competed on the Jessup International Moot Court Team and volunteered in the Legal Services LAB at Boston College, serving low-income individuals and families involving landlord-tenant disputes and family law matters.

Dillon grew up on a dairy farm in upstate New York. He was a college football player but has since traded in his football helmet and cleats for golf clubs and basketball sneakers. When Dillon isn’t playing on the course or court, he enjoys watching professional sports, traveling and exploring new places.

  • Obtained a precedent-setting decision from the Appeals Court clarifying a condominium association’s obligations under the cost-shifting provision of the Massachusetts Fair Housing statute, G.L. c.151B, as it relates to funding disability-related housing modifications.
  • Assisted in obtaining a preliminary injunction – in just 24 hours – against a major Boston-based hospital system, forcing the hospital to continue care for a patient, per the patient’s and his family’s wishes.
  • Successfully represented a former LPGA golfer and her company in two separate litigation matters involving cyber-risk insurance coverage and bank liability related to financial fraud affecting commercial bank accounts.
  • Successfully argued a motion to dismiss defamation counterclaims in complex litigation that included Blue Sky violations, fiduciary duty issues and legal malpractice.
  • Assisted in a very rare and unusual case involving a bankruptcy trustee who filed to have a bankruptcy case remanded to district court and be tried before a jury in Delaware. The bankruptcy trustee sued to recover $44 million with interest. After a four-day trial, the jury deliberated for less than an hour and returned a verdict in favor of our client, awarding $0.
  • Acted as trial counsel on behalf of a real estate developer against the Massachusetts Department of Transportation in an eminent domain case related to a property in the Seaport.

  • Geezil v. White Cliffs Condo. Four Ass’n, 105 Mass. App. Ct. 103 (2024) – Obtained a precedent-setting decision in a case that overturned a 2010 MCAD decision, clarifying condominium association’s obligations under the cost-shifting provision of the Massachusetts Fair Housing statute, G.L. c.151B and limiting the condominium’s responsibility for funding disability-related housing modifications.
