On September 20, Davis Malm attorneys participated in the Greater Boston Veteran Stand Down event to provide legal services for veterans experiencing homelessness or who are at risk of becoming homeless. The New England Center and Home for Veterans hosted the annual event in collaboration with the VA Boston Healthcare System and the U.S. Department of Labor.

At the event, Jim Gallagher, Michelle Cassorla, and Philip Olsen worked alongside the Veterans Legal Services team to assist veterans with pressing legal issues and questions, covering topics related to Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI) sealing, family law, housing, consumer debt, and benefit questions that pertain to the local, state, federal levels.

In addition to legal support, more than 100 organizations attend the Greater Boston Veteran Stand Down event to provide veterans with an opportunity to connect with service providers and community groups. Stand Down also supports veterans with employment assistance, housing, medical care, prevention services, and wellness programs.
