On October 24, Davis Malm shareholders Dan Janis and Dave Powsner presented at The Boston Entrepreneurs’ Network (ENET) panel, “Forming a Company.” During the program, Dan and Dave discussed fundamental legal issues that founders and executives of early-stage companies must address to insure vital protections and the building of value. Issues included how to protect intellectual property from the moment a company is formed, the preferred form of entity and where it should be established, what compensation and benefits should be included in employee benefits, and more.

ENET connects early-stage entrepreneurs with information and resources necessary to transform an idea into a successful product or service business. ENET meetings and webinars have been instrumental in the formation of many startups and provide an important venue for meeting participants and members to network, talk about their ideas, showcase their startups, and conduct business.
