On March 29, 2018, Jim Gallagher was quoted in the article “Towing co. can’t ‘pick off’ lead class-action plaintiff” by Pat Murphy of Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. The article describes a Superior Court judge’s decision in Silva v. Todisco Services, Inc. Judge Salinger found that a towing company accused of unlawfully charging car owners for involuntary tows could not moot a class action by tendering payment of the individual damages claimed by the lead plaintiff.
