We are pleased to announce that Jake E. Marcus has joined the firm as Of Counsel. An experienced real estate attorney with a focus on condominium law, Mr. Marcus represents condominium and homeowners’ associations, developers, property managers, and other real estate stakeholders in a broad range of governance, litigation, construction defect, collections, risk management, and operational matters.

He also advises on complex issues, including developer turnover and transition, governing document interpretation and amendments, lender and Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac compliance, covenant enforcement, and assessment collection strategies.

Jake serves as Legislative Action Committee co-chair of the Community Association Institute’s New England Chapter. Outside the office, Mr. Marcus is a member of the Board of Directors of the New England Chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Additionally, he is the Founder and President of Intestinal Fortitude, a nonprofit dedicated to supporting research initiatives and increasing awareness through marathon fundraising and advocacy efforts.

Jake received his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, his M.B.A. from the University of Miami, and his B.A. from Stonehill College.
