On April 22, 2021, Rob Munnelly was quoted in the article, “Corruption Trial Puts Mass. Pot Regime Under Microscope,” in Law360. The article outlines a case that spotlights a state regulation allowing municipalities to charge cannabis businesses a 3% “community impact fee,” a requirement that has been described as “ripe for corruption.”

It seems to be a particularly extreme case of municipal overreach on the community impact fee requirements that are baked into the Massachusetts cannabis scheme…and it certainly is something the industry has been watching with some dismay.
