On April 15, Davis Malm shareholder Amy Fracassini moderated the panel, “Innovative: Mentoring in the Millennial World” at TiE-Boston StartupCon. Panelists discussed how startups can identify and attract the right mentors and members. Specific topics included:

  • The distinction between mentors, an advisory board, and a board of directors, and the roles each one plays in a startup;
  • Board dynamics: successfully recruiting the right mix of professionals and experience among members;
  • Communicating and interacting with your trusted advisors; and
  • Recognizing the need to change and grow your board members and mentors as your company grows.
