Dave Rogers, an attorney at Davis Malm and a Massachusetts State House Representative for the 24th Middlesex District, discusses some of the bills pending in the legislature, including those focused on salary transparency and registered apprenticeship tax credit eligibility expansion. Dave also discusses a recent update to the Paid Family and Medical Leave Act, enabling employers to allow workers to use accrued benefits to supplement (or top off) PFML benefits. Finally, Dave talks about a ballot question addressing whether or not Transportation Network Drivers (TNDs) – mainly UBER and Lyft – should be allowed to join a union.
