Eric is a regulatory attorney, focusing on the insurance sector. He represents state insurance regulators in the liquidation, rehabilitation and examination of insurance companies, as well as handling administrative, insurance coverage, reinsurance and other disputes and litigation.

Prior to entering private practice, Eric was an Assistant Attorney General, Administrative Law Division, Government Bureau, in the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. He also served as law clerk to the Honorable Walter Jay Skinner, United States District Judge.

  • Represented the liquidators of large property/casualty insurance companies in complex disputes with corporate claimants and reinsurers, including disputes over coverage for asbestos and environmental claims, and in disputes over procedures in insurer liquidations.

Outside of his legal practice, Eric has devoted years to serving on various community boards and committees, including the Belmont Zoning Board of Appeals for over ten years (three of which as Chair), Belmont Warrant Committee, Wellington School Building Committee, and Belmont Town Meeting.

Eric spent four years on the Board of Directors of the Jameson Singers, a Boston-area vocal ensemble, and exercises his vocal cords singing with the group.
