Davis Malm is pleased to announce that shareholder Allison Ahern Fillo has been appointed to the Massachusetts Bar Association’s (MBA) Immigration Law Practice Group Section Council. The MBA’s Immigration Law Practice Group leads the organization on behalf of all members who practice immigration law. In this role, Allison will collaborate with colleagues across the legal community to plan and participate in educational programs, monitor and develop legislation, propose legislative positions to the House of Delegates, and participate in the development of legal publications, articles and special projects.

Allison is an immigration attorney who has spent her legal career assisting U.S. businesses and non-citizens with obtaining immigration and naturalization benefits. She assists established and emerging corporate clients on immigration issues related to employment authorization, company policy drafting, employee training, and general regulatory enforcement and compliance. Allison advises on immigration due diligence and risk management in connection with corporate mergers, acquisitions, restructuring and startups. She also assists clients with employment-based and family-based immigrant visa petitions, applications for U.S. lawful permanent residence and nonimmigrant visa petitions.
