Rich Sampson Rows on First Place Team in the 50th Heineken Regatta

On March 13 and 14, 2022, Davis Malm shareholder Rich Sampson competed in the 50th Heineken Regatta in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Rich’s team, representing the Cambridge Boat Club, placed first in the Men’s Masters G8 (65+) category, with a point total of 155.610 over two days of racing.

This victory comes following Rich’s first place win in the Men’s Grand Master Fours (60+) category at the 57th annual Head Of The Charles© Regatta (HOCR) in Boston on October 23, 2021. He has a long history competing and serving as a member of the Board of Directors at the HOCR, where he now also serves as Corporate Counsel.

The Heineken Roeivierkamp, or The Heineken Regatta, is a yearly rowing regatta on Amsterdam’s Amstel river. The event traditionally marks the opening of the Dutch rowing season and is organized by the Amsterdam rowing club, Nereus. Competitors range from young adult rowers to veteran athletes, rowing four major distances: 250 meters, 750 meters, 2,500 meters and 5,000 meters.
