Davis Malm is thrilled to announce that shareholder Allison Ahern Fillo presented on the Boston Bar Association’s (BBA) webinar, “$100,000 H-1B Visa Fee – Updates, Strategies, and Important Considerations,” on December 10. During the program, Allison and her fellow panelists presented the latest guidance on the $100,000 H-1B visa fee policy and how it’s being implemented by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Additionally, the program discussed strategies for responding to USCIS’ request for the $100,000 fee, important considerations when advising clients on the fee, and how business immigration practitioners are handling this major change in H-1B visa processing.

Allison has served on multiple panels for the BBA over the last four years since beginning her tenure on the Immigration Section Committee in 2021. She now serves as Co-Chair of the Immigration Section, and has the opportunity to collaborate with and mentor other talented attorneys.

“With U.S. immigration policy changing so quickly, it’s important to provide clear guidance on government implementation and practical strategies for navigating changes,” said Allison. “I’m grateful for the BBA’s platform and collaborative community to equip attorneys and their clients during this critical time in immigration.”

The BBA is a leading legal institution in Massachusetts, with a mission to advance the highest standards of excellence for the legal profession, facilitate access to justice, foster a diverse and inclusive professional community and serve the community at large.
