Davis Malm is thrilled to announce that senior attorney Jamey A. Wachta has finalized a licensing agreement between Yixing Eco-Sanitary Manufacture Co., Ltd. (“ECOSAN”) and the International Academy of Environmental Sanitation and Public Health (“IAESPH”), to manufacture and distribute innovative portable public toilets and household sanitation systems to disadvantaged communities throughout India. This initiative is sponsored by the Gates Foundation.

The partnership was formally announced at the inaugural World Toilet Summit (WTS) held in New Delhi, India, an international forum attended by global representatives and dignitaries focused on advancing sustainable sanitation solutions. The licensing agreement was highlighted during the summit’s opening keynote session, underscoring its significance in addressing critical public health and infrastructure challenges.

Jamey played a central role in structuring and finalizing the agreement, enabling the large-scale manufacturing and distribution of environmentally sustainable sanitation technology designed to improve public health outcomes in underserved regions.

Davis Malm President Christopher J. Marino said, “Jamey’s work on this agreement exemplifies the impact that thoughtful, well-structured legal guidance can have on global initiatives. We are proud of his contribution to a program with such meaningful public health implications and look forward to seeing the IAESPH and ECOSAN partnership continue to grow.”
