Davis Malm attorney Sandy Moskowitz has been elected to the Executive Committee of Greater Boston Legal Services (GBLS). Sandy was also re-elected to a new three-year term as a Director on the organization’s Board of Directors, on which he has served since first being elected in 2008. The Executive Committee is responsible for the general oversight of the organization between Board meetings. Its members are elected by the Board. Sandy had previously served on the Board’s Program Priorities Committee, which reviews and sets the substantive priorities of each of GBLS’s legal work areas.

Since originally being founded in 1900 as the Boston Legal Aid Society, GBLS’s mission has been to provide high-quality legal representation in civil (noncriminal) matters to low-income individuals and families in the Greater Boston area and to advocate for systemic change to alleviate the conditions of poverty. Among other responsibilities, board members determine organizational goals and policies and oversee the overall financial management of the organization.
