The Employment Law Group at Davis Malm counsels business and individual clients on a wide range of employment-related issues. The attorneys in this group are experienced trial lawyers and are prepared, when necessary, to litigate employment issues in all administrative and judicial forums. We provide hands-on advice through all stages of representation.
Our attorneys work with business clients to develop and implement comprehensive employment policies, personnel manuals and affirmative action plans, and strategies on hiring and termination decisions. We represent both employers and executives in the negotiation of executive employment and compensation agreements, stock option agreements, noncompetition agreements, intellectual property agreements and severance agreements. We regularly conduct audits of clients' employment practices and provide training to management and employees on discrimination, harassment, accommodation and other issues.
The Employment Law Group also litigates a full range of employment issues, including claims related to discrimination, breach of contract, noncompetition agreements, and trade secret and confidential information matters. We regularly practice before all federal and state courts in Massachusetts and throughout New England, as well as before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination. Where appropriate, we advocate our clients' interests in mediation and arbitration proceedings.
