Practice Focus and Experience


Michael Troy* practices in the Business Law Group and the Public Finance Group. He advises public and private companies with regard to corporate, securities, regulatory, and governance matters. He has also worked as counsel in many tax-exempt bond financings. He has extensive experience handling corporate transactions involving business formation, venture capital funding, private and public financings, and acquisitions and sales of businesses. Michael also represents securities issuers and underwriters in initial and secondary public offerings, including equity and debt offerings, rights offerings, and trust-preferred offerings.

Prior to joining Davis Malm, Michael was an associate with Patton Boggs, LLP in Washington, DC. He was also an attorney with the Securities and Exchange Commission and served as Law Clerk to the Honorable John H. Bayly, Superior Court of the District of Columbia.
