Practice Focus and Experience
Bob Galvin practices in the Land Use and Real Estate Group where he specializes in commercial and residential real estate, commercial leasing, and commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use condominiums. He represents developers, property owners, sellers, buyers, condominium associations, and commercial landlords and tenants. Bob has created a large number of commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use condominiums.

Bob is editor and coauthor of Massachusetts Condominium Law, and the author of the condominium chapter in Crocker's Notes on Common Forms, both leading Massachusetts legal treatises.

Representative Matters
  • Represented a tenant-owned housing cooperative in Brookline in its conversion to condominium ownership. The cooperative was created 40 years ago to house low and moderate income persons whose homes were taken by an eminent domain taking. Nearly $20 million in value was created for the former tenant/shareholders. 25% of the apartments will be permanently reserved for low and moderate income homeowners, by agreement with the town.
  • Currently negotiating nationwide commercial leases and purchases and sales of property for a major, publicly held corporation.
  • Created condominium documents for a 329-unit, phased condominium, Sierra + Tango Condominium, the first two buildings in the North Point project eventually consisting of 2,700 housing units, more than 2 million square feet of commercial space, retail space, a hotel, and open space in Cambridge, Boston and Somerville.
