These transactions include office, retail, industrial, medical, utility, warehouse, and ground leases. Our leasing practice extends throughout the United States, and encompasses both traditional leasing and specialized leasing, including build-to-suit, leveraged, and mixed-use leases.

In our leasing practice we draw on our expertise in related legal and business areas, including tax, environmental, indemnification, financing, litigation, construction, bank restructuring, zoning and eminent domain.

Representative Matters

  • Represented a major publicly traded company in its leasing of sales offices throughout the United States.
  • Represented a client in the acquisition and construction financing of a shopping plaza in Marlborough, Massachusetts, and the subsequent preparation of commercial leases with a national company.
  • Negotiated a 60-year ground lease and prepared condominium documents for a leasehold industrial condominium consisting of six seafood-processing plants.
  • Represented a joint venture in the $3.5 million purchase, financing, and leasing of a five-story office building in a use-restricted area of Boston. Leases were negotiated with the joint venture parties and other third-party tenants.
