Davis Malm is pleased to announce that Jim Gallagher has been promoted to a Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Marine Corps Reserve. Mr. Gallagher has been serving in the Marine Corps Reserve since 2009.

Jim practices in the Business Law, Employment, and Litigation areas at Davis Malm. He is a trial lawyer with experience in a range of areas, including fiduciary, securities, commercial and class action, probate, and employment litigation in state and federal courts. He also advises numerous residential and commercial condominium associations.

Jim has an impressive military background serving in the United States Marine Corps since 2002. Prior to joining Davis Malm, Jim served on active duty as an officer and judge advocate in the United States Marine Corps. While stationed in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, he served as a prosecutor and defense counsel and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Hawaii and as a Battalion Judge Advocate for 2d Battalion, 3d Marines during a deployment to Fallujah, Iraq. While on active duty as a judge advocate, Jim engaged in motions practice, trial preparation, and the prosecution and defense of numerous contested criminal courts-martial matters. Jim currently serves as an Instructor at the Naval Justice School, and is a longtime volunteer lawyer at Veterans Legal Services and is loyal to supporting veterans.
