On May 8, 2018, Davis Malm shareholder Devon A. Kinnard
presented on the Small Business Administration (SBA) Connection Series Panel at the 2018 Great New England Credit Union Show. The panel, “SBA/Credit Union Synergies: Green & Renewable Energy Financing,” discussed opportunities for credit unions to utilize SBA lending for clean energy resources. Mr. Kinnard utilized his expertise with SBA lending and real estate transactions to describe the key elements that credit unions must consider in developing solar lending policies.
Mr. Kinnard practices in the Banking and Credit, and Business Law areas at Davis Malm. He focuses his practice on a variety of commercial transactions, including commercial loans, private securities offerings, private equity capital raises, joint venture and syndicated financings, mergers and acquisitions, and transactions arising out of the day-to-day operations of businesses. Mr. Kinnard also serves as counsel to a number of regional banks, credit unions, and other financial institutions.
The Great New England Credit Union Show is a must-attend event for anyone who works in the credit union industry. The 2018 show, which saw over 500 attendees and a sold-out exhibit hall, educated the credit union audience on trends in cyber security, member engagement, the future of payments and more.
