Davis Malm shareholder Sandy Moskowitz, served as editor for the newly released 2017 edition of Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education’s (MCLE) guide, Massachusetts Condominium Law. The editor’s torch was passed to Sandy by retired Davis Malm shareholder, Robert J. Galvin, who served as editor since the guide’s first publication in 1988 and updated it regularly until his retirement in 2016.

The book is full of practice-tested insight and recommendations on a wide range of condominium-related issues, such as drafting master deeds and condominium bylaws, conducting unit sales, understanding distinctions between condominiums and cooperatives, and establishing commercial and mixed-use condominiums. Other topics include common areas and facilities, phasing, transition planning, and enforcement of condominium liens. With the transition to Sandy, Davis Malm continues its now over 30-year role as a leading authority in condominium law.

In addition to his new role as editor, Sandy has revised and updated several chapters previously authored by Mr. Galvin, as well as the chapter he previously inked, “Condominium Lien Law – Covenants, Obligations, and Enforcement,” which discusses the nature of condominium liens in Massachusetts and how they should be addressed, pursued, and enforced. This chapter is included in Massachusetts Real Estate Liens as well as MCLE’s Massachusetts Condominium Law.
