On November 7, Davis Malm attorneys and staff volunteered at The Greater Boston Food Bank and worked with other volunteers to inspect, sort and repackage food and grocery products to be distributed to hunger-relief agencies. In the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, the Greater Boston Food Bank has delivered much needed food, water, cleaning products, and supplies to sister food banks in Connecticut, New York and New Jersey. Volunteer efforts for the evening produced the following results:

Total amount of food sorted – 4,624 lbs.

Total number of meals made possible – 3,542

Amount of food sorted per volunteer – 80 lbs.

Number of meals made possible per volunteer – 77

As the largest hunger-relief organization in New England, and one of the largest food banks in the country, The Greater Boston Food Bank strives to end hunger and provide healthy food to those in need in eastern Massachusetts.
